Calm in the Chaos – Sheltering in the Safety of the Body

When the world feels like it’s burning, come home to your body.
An Invitation to Take Shelter Within

When the outer world feels loud, fast, or uncertain, the body needs somewhere safe to land.
This intimate pop-up class is an invitation to pause, to soften, and to find shelter within your own system. Not by overriding what you feel, but by gently listening to it.
This is not a trend-based nervous system offering or a quick fix.
It is a deeply held, trauma-informed space guided by an experienced somatic therapist and yoga therapist, grounded in years of practice, study, and embodied understanding.

A Body-Led Approach to Safety

Through a somatic and polyvagal-informed lens, we begin to understand that the body is not working against us, but for us.
Tension, anxiety, shutdown, or overwhelm are not problems to eliminate, but intelligent survival responses shaped by experience.
When we meet the body with presence instead of pressure, something begins to shift.

Do You Recognise Yourself Here?

Feeling overwhelmed by the state of the world
Struggling to slow down or switch off
Carrying tension that doesn’t fully release
Feeling anxious, unsettled, or emotionally heightened
Experiencing moments of shutdown, fatigue, or disconnection
Longing for a sense of safety, steadiness, or inner ground
These are not signs that something is wrong with you.
They are signs that your nervous system is trying to protect you.

The Weight of Our Times

We are living in a time of constant input, uncertainty, and collective stress.
For many, the body is holding more than ever before.
Without space to process, settle, and restore, the nervous system remains activated, making it difficult to access calm, clarity, or connection.

Sheltering in the Safety of the Body

This class is a somatic journey into safety.
Through grounding, orienting, breath, gentle movement, and rest, you will be guided to reconnect with the internal pathways of safety that already exist within you.
Working with the vagus nerve and the body’s natural regulation systems, we begin to shift out of survival patterns and into states of greater ease, presence, and resilience.
There is nothing to achieve here.
No performance. No pressure.
Only a return.
To breath.
To sensation.
To the quiet intelligence of your body.
